Unser allseits beliebter, leicht durchgeknallter Orgelgott hat eine feine Zusammenstellung wahrer Welthits auf seiner geliebten Heimorgel interpretiert. Er tut dies in seiner unnachahmlichen Art, die jeglicher Zuhörerschaft sofort ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubert und ins Tanzbein geht. Mambo Kurt zelebriert die hohe Kunst des Weglassens und Nichtsingenkönnens, dass es eine wahre Freude ist. Jeder Song ist eine Hommage an die Originalinterpreten. Nichts geht so ins Bein wie ein Rhumba mit 124 bpm. Als heimlicher Superstar hat sich Mambos alte Orgellehrerin Heidi Schulz eingeschlichen, die eine famose Interpretation von "God save the queen" zum Besten gibt. Bei ihren 87 Lenzen bekommt die Textzeile "no future for me" eine ganz neue Bedeutung. Spiel Heimorgel spiel ist mit Sicherheit das Beste, was Mambo Kurt jemals in seinem Wohnzimmer aufgenommen hat, eine lupenreine Partyscheibe. Der perfekte Soundtrack zum Küche putzen, Autofahren oder Liebe machen.

An interesting album released by Alchemy Records (first as an EP, then as a full album) in Japan, then reissued in the United States on Public Bath in 1995. The sound is essentially psychedelic pastoral folk -- with abrupt and unexpected bursts of shattering white-noise coming in from nowhere every once in a while. Bizarre but ultimately accessible (in a peculiar way), like a cross between Angel'in Heavy Syrup and Hijokaidan. Mineko appears here on vocals. This album has since been recalled (supposedly -- some copies may still be out there, although not for long) due to the threat of a lawsuit from Morita Doji (the band forgot to ask for permission to use all the songs, oopsie) and obviously won't be repressed, either....
