Fennesz + Sakamoto: Cendre

So now we have 'Cendre'... Cendre was recorded between 2004 and 2006 in New York City by Ryuichi Sakamoto and in Vienna by Christian Fennesz. They came together for the mix in New York City in February of that year. Fennesz would send Sakamoto a guitar or electronic track and Sakamoto would compose his piano piece. This process was also reversed - Sakamoto initiating the track with a piano composition and Fennesz responding. Meanwhile they met for live shows, or communicated via digital means to compare notes, swop ideas and develop themes... And the cyclical process continued right up until the final mix.

Ryuichi Sakamoto and Christian Fennesz blend the unstructured and imaginative qualities of improvisation with the satisfying sculpture of composition. Sakamoto's piano, his style reminiscent of Debussy and Satie, perfectly complements Fennesz with his powerful blend of shimmering guitar and passionate electronics.

中国电音创作的重要代表之一，也是国内首批开始摆脱摇滚音乐思维而转向电子音乐创作的音乐人之一；曾参与制作和策划多张国内重要电子音乐合辑，同时涉猎电影，话剧配乐创作。风格揉合IDM，LAPTOP等等。

1997 年学习吉他，98年就读沈阳音乐学院附属艺术学校，一年后移居北京，先后组建及参与“吸管”，“地下婴儿”等乐团演出及创作。2000年开始电子音乐创 作，2001年参加了电子合辑“电核噪动”（Far East Digital Hardcore Compilation Vol.1），单曲《Doctrine Dark vs Skullomania》被收录其中。

2002年，参与“摩登” 另一电子音乐系列的创作计划，以SULUMI名义出版专辑“水的空气阻滞”。在这个以当时得令的Chill Out/俱乐部舞曲为概念的系列合辑中，制作出具强烈个人风格的电子舞曲作品，既很好地围绕唱片公司设定的主题发挥，同时亦不抹杀个人特色。凭借此专辑获 国内最大，由各音乐媒体组成的专业排行榜之一，“华语音乐传媒大奖”提名最佳电子艺人。

2002年12月，创建电子厂牌“山水唱片”（shanshui record），随后出版厂牌首张合辑“V.A Landscape”，一手策划的此合辑集合了香港，内地，日本三地知名的电子音乐人或新生代电子乐手的作品.

2003年11月，中国有史以来最大的实验电子音乐节—“2003北京声纳电子音乐节”在北京举行，获邀参加演出。

2004年6月，应澳门“婆仔屋艺术空间 ”（Old Ladies House Art Space）邀请出席了“澳门数位牛房2004电子音乐节”的演出。同台演出乐手还包括有Four Tet，World's End Girlfriend，Piana等等。

Since I Left You (2000) is the debut album by Melbourne-based electronic music group The Avalanches. It is composed almost entirely of samples from old records, films, and TV shows. It was a worldwide success, especially in the UK where it reached #8 on the commercial album charts.

"Frontier Psychiatrist" was released as a single and became their most well-known song, hitting #48 in Australia and #18 in the UK. The song "Since I Left You" hit #16 in the UK and also entered the top 100 in Australia. The album also reached #8 in the UK, and was Planet Sound's #1 Album of 2001. Initial overseas versions of the album had some samples removed. Current pressings have most of these samples back in place.
